Box Samples

I built several versions of the basic synth. The original prototype was called "The Box." One was built into a briefcase for performance as a commission for a friend; and there was also a set of two identical synths that could be linked via the clock, again intended for performance. The only one to physically survive well enough to admit sampling was the original prototype. I sampled it using SampleRobot, to create six "instruments"; four of these are pitched (with various kinds of modulation) and two are non-pitched (one noise-based and one based on joystick performances). The sample sets are now available on pianobook. Composer and professor Evis Sammoutis has kindly agreed to take custody of the hardware devices.
